The kids are back in school, the pools are closing, and the walnut leaves are turning yellow. Fall is just around the corner, but that’s no reason to settle in for the winter! Stay active this fall and keep making everyday an adventure. After all, just because summer is coming to an end, it doesn’t mean your fun times have to…
Ste. Genevieve has everything you need to make this fall fun and memorable.
There’s a ton of fun to be had this fall in the 573. This week 573 Magazine journeyed to Ste. Genevieve to see what they have in store to make your Fall fun and fantastic.
That’s right, I said Oktoberfest! Just like you, 573 Magazine was THRILLED to find out there was going to be an Oktoberfest right here in Ste. Genevieve. Kara Burt, our friend from Audubon’s, just happens to be on the Oktoberfest Committee and filled us in on all the details.
While Ste. Genevieve was settled by the French, a lot of the heritage that remains is German. So to celebrate all things German, we will be hosting Oktoberfest. The two day event will start with a Volkswagen Parade and end with wiener dog races. There will also be German Bands, Keg Toss Games, Beer Stein Holding Contest, Homemade German Food Competitions, Beer Gardens, German Spelling Bee, & Vendors. Why an Oktoberfest in September, you ask? That’s when they start in Munich so we decided to follow that tradition. Be sure to stop by the Beer Garden on Main Street to get your Official Oktoberfest Beer Stein & T-Shirt.
German Games, Home Brew Contest, German Food Contest & Weiner Dog Races...
You can register online for the German Games, Home Brew Contest, German Food Contest & Weiner Dog Races right here! Oktoberfest will be going on September 17th & 18th in Downtown Ste. Genevieve.
Owned and operated by Sam Oberle and his wife, Mary, the Ste. Genevieve Trolley has been providing fun and safe transportation to locals and tourists alike hitting several amazing, historical, and fun filled Ste. Genevieve destinations along the way. Sam filled us in on the details.
Ste. Genevieve Trolley was established in 2016 to provide a safe and friendly transportation service for the community. I was born and raised in Ste. Genevieve, and always knew I wanted to be able to give back to my hometown. I love visiting the wine country area and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and beautiful landscapes on the wine trail. I also know how important it is to have a safe ride to and from the wineries, but also a great way to tour the downtown historic district in Ste. Genevieve. I strive to always provide the best customer service and always try to make each guest feel at home in this beautiful town. Please come and visit Ste. Genevieve and check out all the fun things it has to offer.
A great way to experience the historic beauty of Downtown Ste. Genevieve...and the local wine country.
The Ste. Genevieve Trolley stops at multiple wineries including Chaumette, Twin Oaks, Crown Valley, Cave Winery, and more. It’s also a great way to experience the historic beauty of Downtown Ste. Genevieve and sample some great food or do some shopping before exploring your fun side while touring the breathtaking rolling hills and lush vineyards of the local wine country.
