In the heart of Farmington, Missouri, McIntyre Psychological Services began as a quiet dream in 2018. Founded by Dr. Angela Webb-McIntyre, a passionate licensed clinical and forensic psychologist with years of experience, the practice started small. Facing the challenges of launching a mental health business in a rural community, Dr. Webb-McIntyre sought an affordable, supportive environment to nurture her vision.
She found that incubator at WorkSPACE, the vibrant coworking hub at 212 W Columbia Street in downtown Farmington. Run by visionary local entrepreneur Denelle Smugala, WorkSPACE offered flexible private offices, shared conference rooms, high-speed internet, and a community of fellow startups—all at a fraction of traditional lease costs. For a new counseling practice juggling billing hurdles, staffing issues, and the demands of building trust, it was the perfect launchpad. Â

Dr. Angela Webb-McIntyre is a passionate licensed clinical and forensic psychologist with years of experience.
At WorkSPACE Dr. Webb-McIntyre could focus on what mattered: providing compassionate therapy, psychological evaluations, and forensic services without the burden of high overhead. The collaborative atmosphere connected her with local professionals, boosted visibility, and provided the stability needed to weather early storms—like billing setbacks and staff needs—that nearly sank the fledgling business. Instead of failing, McIntyre Psychological Services built a stronger, emphasizing integrity, evidence-based care, and accessibility via in-person and telehealth options across multiple states.
As client demand grew, so did the team of licensed counselors and therapists. What began as a solo endeavor expanded into a thriving group practice treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and more. WorkSPACE’s nurturing ecosystem helped them scale: offering a professional address, networking opportunities, and the flexibility to grow without long-term commitments. This support propelled them to the next level.

Online therapy enables many more people to enjoy quality care, and today it is a big part of McIntyre Psychological Services.
